Why are the faces of the policemen covered up with those black bars?

Right after the Raid, these photos were published on our website without the bars. When the criminal police made us aware of the fact that it is not legal to do so without permission, we immediately placed the black bars on the policemen’s faces. But the authorities were still not pleased. They instituted legal proceedings against us. At first we were acquitted at the local County Court in Nördlingen, but then judged “guilty” and fined for publishing “without permission” by the Augsburg Land Court.

Comment:

Hundreds of thousands of people watched how the police took our children in October 2002, either on television or in the newspapers. The media did not ask the police for permission- and nobody said anything about it. At the same time, one of our members was judged guilty for doing what everyone else in the media did. Was this really an impartial judgment or rather a political decision?
